I guess all we can say is 'She knows best'.

Imagine Bollywood bombshell Mallika Sherawat with that trademark stamp of encircled TM.That has actually become a reality as far as Mallika’s name is concerned. Yes, the hot babe is in the process of acquiring the unique distinction of being the first Bollywood actress to get her name trademarked.
In layman’s language it means that her name cannot henceforth be used for commercial or publicity purposes. For example, if someone runs a beauty salon named Mallika Sherawat Beauty Parlour, or a shop named Mallika Sherawat Undergarments, the person might soon receive a legal notice from the actress’s lawyer for infringement of copyright.
In the words of her lawyer, Mallika today is a brand with a huge commercial value and people often use her name for attracting publicity or commercial gain. Trademarking Mallika’s name would prevent such instances in the future.
So if a producer wants to make a film that is titled something like “Main Mallika Sherawat Banna Chahti Hoon”, he will first have to take permission from the actress and might even have to shell out substantial money to use the copyright.

Katrina's latest flick hit the screens on Friday and it has already a hit. NEW YORK has a very gripping story and the stars have put in brilliant performance. Katrina plays Maya in the movie. Audiences have liked her role especially in the movie and have loved her performance.A trade Pundit says, ''Katrina Kaif has finally got the meatiest role of her career and she has taken full advantage of it. She is very good in emotional scenes as well.''
Katrina Kaif to Produce French Remake
Katrina Kaif has announced that she will be stretching her wings into the field of production and hopes to do a remake of a French movie from 2006. She expects to star in the movie herself. “My role in the film has dark shades to it. I play a conniving, ambitious woman. It’s a gloriously grey character, the kind I haven’t played before.” However, at the moment, the deal for the rights has not been finalised so she has been cagey about the title.The film buffs here at Bollyspice have been scratching their heads in an effort to pin down the movie in question. It could well be the amazing Tell No One – a labyrinthine thriller about murder and corruption that you really need to see twice to understand fully. The film stars Francois Cluzet and Marie-Josee Croze. Produced by Luc Besson, and based on a novel by Harlan Coben, the role of Margot could easily be portrayed by Katrina.
The drawback to Tell No One, however, is that the female lead is not a conniving ambitious woman – so perhaps we need to look further and all fingers point towards the wonderful romantic comedy Priceless (Hors de Prix) starring the extraordinary Audrey Amelie Tautou, looking like an identikit of Katrina with her hair up. Essentially a remake of Breakfast At Tiffany’s, the 1961 Blake Edwards comedy with Audrey Hepburn, the film is of course about a conniving, ambitious woman clawing her way up through a world of luxury hotels and glamour, using only her wits and charm to aid her.
Although the hot money is clearly on Priceless, there’s an outside chance that it could be the latest OSS 117 movie – Cairo, Nest of Spies. The delightful eurospy movies of the sixties have been updated in this latest outing of the French equivalent of James Bond. Full of action, comedy, adventure, romance and two very beautiful women – Berenice Bejo and Katrina lookalike Aure Atika. Even if Katrina isn’t remaking this movie, someone else in Bollywood should – especially with Bollywood films being so popular in Egypt.
Conceivably, The Page Turner could be the target as Katrina is known to enjoy classical music. Starring the lovely Catherine Frot, this is a movie about a 10-year-old girl who fails to make it into a select academy of music, almost on the whim of the academy president. She harbours her revenge carefully and obsessively, eventually as an elegant, charming woman, she achieves the role of page-turner to the academy president – and it’s just before a crucial concert at which she will perform her magnum opus.
A very unlikely, but possible contender would be Sheitan – the Vincent Cassel horror and very black comedy. The movie is about a group of youngsters who are led by the beautiful Eve (Katrina lookalike Roxanne Mesquida to a country house to continue their party – but in reality into the hands of mad shepherd devil-worshipper Vincent Cassel who has other plans for them.
Katrina defeats Aishwarya
Slowly Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is losing her brand status. After kicking out of the Nakshatra jewelry deal, the former Miss World is unsure about the soap endorsement which she has been endorsing for a long time. Interestingly, the actress who is going to replace her from the soap brand is her old rival Katrina Kaif who has once snatched away the Nakshatra deal from her.Buzz is that soon Kat is going to replace Ash. Though the deal is not yet confirmed, Katrina Kaif is taken into consideration. However Kat is denying her association with the brand, “It’s not true”, she said.
It is said that Aishwarya’s growing age and marital status are the reasons behind her fall. The question of Ash’s increasing age raised when L’Oreal signed Sonam Kapoor for the Indian face. The incident later followed up with Sonam debarred from walking with Ash at the Cannes red carpet.
Whatever, Aishwarya’s popularity is never going to cease down in spite of any shortcoming.
Katrina snatches another deal from Aishwarya
Bollywood actress Aishwarya Bachchan may not have come out of the pain of loosing the Nakshatra jewellery endorsement deal to Katrina Kaif last year. but now the New York actress has snatched another endorsement deal from her. A soap that the former Miss World endorses wants Katrina to sign up for their upcoming campaign. A well placed sources confirmed that the company is already in talks with Katrina but the deal with the actress hasn't been finalised yet.Buzz up!
If that was not enough a reputed watch company which has Aishwarya on board for endorsing its products is in talks with Katrina as well. Earlier in the year Mattel Toys India Pvt. Ltd. had made Katrina the face of Indian barbie doll during the Lakme Fashion Week. This after the company had almost finalised the deal with Aishwarya Bachchan. So when the soap giant thought about dumping Aishwarya it did not surprise many.
Analysts believe Aishwarya who is the wrong side of 30 is slowly loosing her appeal over the younger girls. When L'Oreal hired Sonam Kapoor to endorse its product it was evident that Aishwarya's brand value had certainly taken a hit. Sonam made matters worse for the actress when she stated that she was youth face of the product while Aishwarya would appeal to the older women. Ash did not take this lightly and made sure Sonam's red carpet walk at Cannes was cancelled.
Kareena misses her dad
Kareena Kapoor has been bonding big-time with her Dad. And Randhir Kapoor couldn’t have chosen a worse time to be out of the country. Just when Kareena’s most important film is being released, both her sister and dad are out of the country, hence their absence from the special screening last week. She invited just her family and no friends, not even best friend Amrita Arora.Saif tried to keep Kareena's spirits up but she was undoubtedly missing her father. Of late, Kareena has been bonding big time with her father. She has been keeping a tab on him by calling and inquiring about his diet and health, and visiting him as much as possible. Love Aaj Kal
Love Aaj Kal is produced by Dinesh Vijan and Saif Ali Khan, at the same time directed by Imtiaz Ali.
The movie is based on the concept of love, as it was in the past (kal) and as it is in the present (aaj), the movie boasts of names like Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Neetu Singh, Rishi Kapoor, Rahul Khanna and Vir Das, in its star cast.
The music for ‘Love Aaj Kal, has been provided by Pritam, while Irshad Kamil is the lyricist. The romantic flick will hit theaters across India on July 31.
A part of the shooting for the movie took place in Delhi and you can hope to see Lal Quila (Red Fort), Purana Qila (Old Fort) and the streets of the capital city on-screen.
As to the rest of the movie, get ready to witness views of Kolkata, apart from London & San Francisco.
'Love Aaj Kal' a family film: Director
Imtiaz Ali openly admits that his upcoming Love Aaj Kal, which stars Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone, has unabashed kissing scenes, but the director insists that it will still be a complete family entertainer.
The director says he has included the so-called objectionable scenes in the movie's promos so that people are already used to it by the time they see the film.
"See, it's the way you put it in the film and treat it. It's up to the filmmaker not to make his film some fodder for perversion or lechery." Ali told IANS.
Ali promises that Love Aaj Kal, which is Saif's production debut, is a film that would be accepted by an entire family.
"Kisses included," he winks. "Nobody will feel inhibited watching Love Aaj Kal. No one will hesitate walking into the film with his family. All that is potentially objectionable in the film in the strictest of sense has been taken care of in the first promo. If you have warmed up on it, rest assured you will love Love Aaj Kal," the filmmaker said.
Love Aaj Kal is his third love story after Socha Na Tha and the blockbuster Jab We Met.
But there were people around Ali who weren't too comfortable with the idea of showing Saif trying to hold Deepika's butt, then share an unabashed kiss with her in the car and also mouth Hinglish expletives on a date right in the promo itself.
"They thought that people may get an impression that the film was only about these things but I had my own viewpoint," explains Ali.
"My argument is that audiences are really smart. They pretty much see the intention of the filmmaker and make up their mind to watch the film accordingly. We better start taking them seriously rather than attempt at fooling them by considering ourselves over smart," he says.
To substantiate his claim, Ali goes on to share an anecdote from his experience during the making of Jab We Met, which starred Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor.
"Remember the sequence in the second half of the film when Kareena curses her ex-boyfriend on phone? She goes on to say 'Teri Maa Ki' and a lot more. Did the audience feel awkward? Not at all. In fact they laughed during the entire scene and not a single soul came and told me that he/she felt offended by the language," Ali reasons.
The director, however, admits that for Love Aaj Kal, the prime target audience is the younger crowd.
